1. The origin of the name Manchester is Roman, in fact it comes from Mamuciam which means “breast shaped hill” because it looked like…breasts. Unfortunately the hill has disappeared now with the climate changes, erosion and human constructions so we’ll never know how a breast-shaped hill looks like. What a waste!

3. Smoking is banned from any public place in England even more in Manchester. Of course there are designated smoking areas outside public buildings.
